The season of Lent is fast approaching with the Ash Wednesday marking the beginning of our journey together with Christ as we prepare for his passion, death, and resurrection.”Tatays” from the parish’s eight BEC zones gathered at San Jose Hall on February 11 to 12 for a seminar in preparation for Ash Wednesday on February 22. The “tatays” and priests will then go to the various areas of the parish for a ceremony and apply the ashes to a parishioner’s forehead. The ash cross on Christians’ foreheads is meant to represent mortality and penance for their sins.
