San Juan Nepomuceno Parish Youth Organization successfully held its Lenten Recollection at San Juan Nepomuceno Parish Pastoral Center Function Hall, Saturday, February 25, 2023.

Rev. Fr. Julius I. Espinosa, parish priest, welcomed the young participants in his opening remarks.

The speakers of the said recollection are Ma. Luisa Alvarez-Tan and Rev. Glenn T. Flores, MHM.

In her talk, Tan emphasized that there are five components for an authentic prayer life: adoration, thanksgiving, petition, contrition and offering. Likewise, Holy Mass is the highest form of prayer.

Rev. Flores, on the other hand, stressed that we have also failures in life, therefore, there is also forgiveness.

After the series of talks, a Taize Prayer followed.

SJNPYO President Jomer J. Aspan reminded everyone that Recollection is a time to reconcile and to change mindset and behavior, especially in serving God and the church.

To draw the spiritual activity into a close, the participants attended the Anticipated Mass presided by Rev. Fr. Augustine Hinayan, and distribution of certificates followed.
