FEBRUARY is ARTS MONTH. KWARENTA invited another set of local artists to share their upcoming art exhibit.

Gil john Quiamco is a Bacolod based artist from Bago City. He was born in Quezon, Bukidnon on 16th of January 1988. A draftsman and a full-time artist making portraits and other artworks as a bread and butter. His interest in arts started when he was 4 years old when he tried to drew some figures on the sand using twigs and sticks. At that moment, his passion in making artworks cultivated and further developed. He also loved symbolic and surreal artworks. He makes concepts in his artworks as an eye opener to the viewer and also to justify unappreciated things through his imaginations. Gil John’s artwork has been shown in some exhibits around Bacolod City. He joined National art competition in 2019 at Metrobank Art and Design Excellence and selected as semi-finalist in watermedia category. He created a group called ”GONA” Group of Negrense Artist in 2021 to unite other artists and also motivate them to grow by participating exhibit events at Artienda Art Distict organized by Orange Project family. He was also shortlisted for prestigious Philippine Art Awards this year.
