
The Diocesan Commission on Catechesis launched on their Facebook Page the enrollment for the annual Diocesan Catechetical Summer Institute last May 17, 2025.
According to Vanessa Sabit Molleno, DCC staff, the Diocesan Catechetical Summer Institute is a 1 month stay-in holistic formation program open for all catechists from the Diocese of Bacolod. Commonly known as CI it is an opportunity for catechists to study in-depth different aspects of the Catholic Faith to better serve their respective parishes through formation of their academic, community, and spiritual life. Catechists can study for a maximum of 4 years after which they graduate and receive a Certificate of Proficiency from the DCC. The Director of the Diocesan Commission on Catechesis is Rev. Fr. Dave Ryan D. Treyes.
For incoming first year students, there is an assessment and interview every Saturday for the rest of May 2025, from 9AM to 12 Noon. There is a 5,000 PHP registration fee for this year’s CI and interested catechists can register using their online registration form valid till May 31, 2025. This program will be held from June 9 to July 5, 2025 at Domus Dei, Silay City.
